I can so clearly remember when I first met Dana and Mike five years ago. They had asked me to photograph their wedding - and at that point in time, I had only been casually taking pictures on the side for about a year. Needless to say, I WAS FREAKED OUT. But of course, I said yes! They had the sweetest little courthouse wedding in Arlington, followed by a reception in Old Town. I will never forget how warm and encouraging they were towards me as a photographer newbie. It was one of the most memorable days of my career, and a total turning point for me.
And here we are, five years later, and I'm sharing sneak peeks from their family portrait session, which now includes their adorable pigtail-wearing daughter! It is just the coolest feeling to have come full circle with a client - and it is really such a huge honor.
Be sure to scroll down for a couple of shots from their wedding day. It's funny how you don't think your work has evolved THAT much until you pull up shots from 5 years ago. WOW! (But don't get me wrong, I do love those photos - a lot.)
